Sackey is the Assistant Head teacher of Bewuanum Anglican Basic School. He holds an MBA in Managemenn Information Systems from UNICAF University-Zambia and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Education, Winneba.

Sackey currently serves as the Deputy General Secretary, a member of the National Executive Council of PRETAG and a Board Member of CCT Fund.
