Alhassan has been a Professional Teacher for 15years and Head of Department for Arts at Sombo Senior High School. He is the Upper West Regional Chairman, a member of the National Executive Council of PRETAG and a Board Member of CCT Fund.
Alhassan holds a Bachelor of Arts Integrated Development Studies from UDS, and Masters in Educational Management Leadership & Administration, and LLB from UBIDS.
